"Warm and fuzzy is a dangerous thing to be in the forest."
For Mokee, an excitable (some could say ‘hyperactive‘) baby spirit bear lost from his mom, that‘s the chance he has to take. He doesn‘t have much choice - Mokee became separated from his mother when he was lured from hibernation a little early by Graham, a half-bred city slicker from the wolf family. Graham himself is a fish out of water, stranded in the wilderness, away from the comforts of his own home - a city research facility with things like cable tv and free food. Now he‘s at the beck and call of the local wolf mafia in search of delicious bear cubs. Strong armed into teaming up with Mokee, the ‘toddling tyrant‘, to search for his mom, and other cubs, they embark on a perilous journey through the rain forest.
Oblivious to danger, Mokee‘s only concern is to figure out what mom looks like. It was dark in the hollow. He knows he‘s looking for a bear who looks like him - only bigger. And of course his mom is out there looking for a bear that looks like her - only smaller. What no one realize‘s is that Mokee‘s a little unusual...different...rare...weird... And not just cause he has the stamina of a freight train with no conductor on board. He‘s a spirit bear - a black bear who‘s born pure white and only found in this corner of the world. And so rare less than one in ten are born that way. It‘s hard to find something when you don‘t know what you‘re looking for. What they do find along the way are a couple of unlikely comrades: a quirky little pine marten on a quest to meet ‘cute guys‘ and a zany bee who refuses to fly due to the fact it‘s ‘just not aerodynamically possible‘. A close, albeit mismatched little band of travelers is formed. Only Graham realizes they are under the close surveillance of the wolf pack boys. It‘s not long before the whole situation has Graham howling: ‘Come back little city cage, all is forgiven!‘
