Summary of last night:

The entrance to the club was on a street just off of Hollywood Blvd. Most of the people arriving, parked in a lot across the street, or had valets park their car. Either way, they went directly into the club. I got there about 7:45pm. The Red Carpet arrival ("RC") started about 8:30pm. Howie, NMD were initially in the club, but they and the other RC crowd came out and lined up at at the beginning of the RC. I got a pic of Howie and NMD on the carpet, as well as a 20-sec clip. All the arrivals were in by about 9:30, and the performance started about 10pm. I didn't get in, but it's just as well since the RC crowd was geared towards teens and pre-teen acts.

There was a patio on the Hollywood Blvd side of the club where I could hear some of the music, but there was too noise from the traffic. Standing on the side street you could hear some of the music from inside that was reflected from the buildings across the street, but it was just the music, not the lyrics. Somewhere in there, they played "Everybody/Backstreet's Back", but I don't know if it was just dance/entertainment music, or if NMD did a dance routine to it.

I wandered off for a bit to get a bite and see what else was happening on the Blvd, and when I came back I walked past the valet and saw AJ standing there talking to the valets, with Rochelle sitting next to him. It took a few seconds for the shock/surprise to pass, and in the meantime I walked up a the block a little and tweeted to help settle the nerves. By the time I went back they were gone. I didn't see who was driving as they left (I didn't even notice a car drive up, I was so distracted), and he hadn't walked the red carpet at the beginning. He was wearing that hat he's had lately, a white t-shirt and (I think) kjaki pants. (The tat "sleeves" on his arms gave him away, lol).

I took the subway to avoid traffic, so I had to leave at 1am before the trains stopped for the night. The performance had ended around 11pm and most of the guest left by then, but Howie and NMD were still inside when I left.

There were about 4-5 media agencies, none of them were "the usual suspects" (WireImage, Getty, etc.). One video agency did warm-up "sound bites" before the RC began, and the announcer said they would be interview NMD later. After they finished warmups, I got the company's name - HollywoodOnWrap.com - so check their site later for footage.

Another company went in and continued filming during the event, that company's name is Celebrity High Magazine. One of the guys said their video is mainly used in those entertainment clips you see nowadays at stores, gas stations, and on buses. I don't know if they have a video website; the guy said to look them up via GOOGLE.

There was one guy who might have been a "pap" but not too many, and they left fairly quickly. I heard him on the phone with a colleague telling him to head over from Le Deux, where the party was initially going to be held, so maybe there were other paps there too by mistake.
